sccopy - Security Class Copy

sccopy [-f] dataArea securityClass newSecurityClass [existingSecurityClass]

The sccopy utility enables you to create a new security class by copying an existing one, or to modifying an existing security class by overwriting it with another security class.

Parameters Description
-f Force an overwrite if you specify an existing security class name.
dataarea Specify the data area where the security classes exist.
securityClass

Specify a security class to copy. (Do not include .secclass as part of each security class name.)

You cannot export security classes that belong to the delivered standard template set of security classes (those with names ending in "_ST".

newSecurityClass Specify the name of the security class to be created by copying an existing one. The name of the new security class can contain only letters and numbers.
existingSecurityClass

Specify the name of the security class to be modified by copying an existing one. You must also specify the -f option to force an overwrite to occur.

You cannot use this option to modify security classes that belong to the delivered standard template set of security classes (those with names ending in "_ST".
