Create a new form
You can create a new form. It can be based on an existing form or brand new. Once created and active, a new form can also be personalized by end users.
- In the Infor Rich Client, access the Configuration Console.
-
Select Business Classes and, if a business class configuration does not already exist for the business class you want to add a form to, select the New button at the top of the left pane and then select Form as the configuration type in the dialog box.
If the business class configuration already exists, expand the business class, select User Forms, and click the Create button at the top of the left pane.
To determine the business class a form belongs to, use the form information pop up. Open the list, hover over the heading, and press Ctrl + Shift + left-mouse click.
- Make sure Create new user configuration is selected.
- In the Based on field, select either <Blank Form> or choose an existing form to copy.
- Enter a new unique name. Be sure to follow your configurations naming conventions and prefix the name with a code such as ZZZ, Usr, or characters that represent your company name (for example, ACM for Acme Co) and click OK.
- Configure the form and save the record.
- To point to the new form, configure menus, pages, or forms to point to it.
