About Phrases

You can manage your own phrases and translations in the user interface and use them as overrides in Configuration Console.

You can also use user-defined phrases to dynamically change important phrases in an application. For example, the phrase "Company." Depending on your organization’s requirements, you may want this phrase to display in the user interface as "Store" or "Hospital."

Your phrases are stored in the UserPhrases business class. The configuration utilities: Configuration Data Export (cdexport), Configuration Data Import (cdimport), and Configuration Data Delete (cddelete) include UserPhrase and UserPhrase_Translation data.
