Specification change examples

Two installation specifications that you might want to change are the installation location and the Java heap size.

Installation Location

By default, the Infor Rich Client is installed in %appdata%/Lawson Software\lrc, for example, C:\Users\testuser\AppData\Roaming\Lawson Software\lrc. Use this procedure to set a different installation location for the Infor Rich Client on client (users') machines. You can change this by changing the values on the Install Directory tab for one of the URLs.

Note: You can use environmental variables enclosed in percent signs (%) to indicate some special locations on Windows such as %appdata%, %ProgramFiles%, and so on.

Java Heap Size

You may want to adjust the Java initial heap size and maximum heap size to improve performance. You change these settings on the Java Arguments tab for the URl that you select. The initial heap size parameter is set by default to 128m (128 MB) and the maximum heap size is set by default to either 636m (636 MB) or 1024m (1024 MB), depending on the URL for the Infor Rich Client.
