Exporting configurations

Use this procedure to export configurations. You can export configurations to make them available in a test system. You can develop configurations on a test or development system and make the configurations available for import to another system.

  1. Select Administration Console > Configuration and Personalization > Configuration > Export Configurations or Configuration Console > Utilities > Configuration > Export Configurations.
  2. Specify this information:
    Subdirectory
To export the configuration to a subdirectory of the FTP site directory, specify that directory.
    Command Output File Name
Specify a name for the command output file. For example, CDExportOut.txt.
    Create User Report
To create a user report, select this check box.
    File Format
    Select Zip File or Directory.
    File Name
If you are exporting to a ZIP file, specify the name of the ZIP file.
    Suppress Audit Log
Select this check box to exclude audit and effective date logs from export.
    Scrub Personally Identifiable Information
Select this check box to randomize personally identifiable information. This action replaces the actor ID with a random value. This value is the same for any given actor but is not traceable back to the original value. Exporting with scrubbed personally identifiable information is intended for support triage purposes. Do not use scrubbed information for import because you lose actor ownership and audit information.
    Export All Status
If you are exporting application data, select this check box to include all statuses in the export. You can clear this check box and then select the check boxes for the statuses to include.
    Include Deleted Records
Select this check box to include deleted configurations in the export.
    Filters
To indicate the data to export, select the check boxes.

Select the check boxes to indicate the types of configurations and personalizations to export. If you select Export Application Data, you can select a subtype to export.

The data types for application, authorization security, MIME type, process flow, and web services configuration are selected by default.

If you select user-defined replication set definitions, the export includes replication set definitions that are not delivered. It includes delivered replication set definitions that include customer-defined replicate fields or customer-defined business classes. You can also export a single user-defined replication set definition by specifying the replication set name in the Replication Set field.

To export a snapshot of the configurations, select the Export Snapshot check box and select a snapshot. If you choose to export snapshots, you cannot select any other export types.

  3. Click Schedule to schedule the configurations for another time or click Submit to immediately export the configurations.
