Creating connection points

  1. Login to Infor OS Portal (or Infor Ming.le.
  2. In ION Desk, navigate to Connect > Connection Points.
  3. Click Add+ and select Infor Application.
  4. Specify this information:
    Name
    Specify the name of the system the connection point connects to. For example, Infor Lawson System Foundation or Infor Landmark Technology.
    Description
    Provide information about the connection point. For example, LSF connection to IOBox.
    Logical ID Type
    Specify the application type. Standard naming conventions are:
    • Infor OS Portal (or Infor Ming.le): Social
    • Infor Lawson System Foundation: LSF
    • Infor Landmark Technology: LMK
    Tenant
    Leave the check box clear. You should only select the check box and specify the tenant name if you are creating a connection point for a multi-tenant system.
  5. On the Connection tab, specify this information:
    Database Driver
    Select this field based on the database where the IOBox for the system associated with this connection point exists.
    Use advanced settings
    Select this option.
    URL
    Use the template to create a URL to connect to the IOBox.
    User Name
    Specify the IOBox database owner.
    Password
    Specify the IOBox database owner password.
    Delete Processed Messages in Inbox/Outbox
    Select the check box.
    Message Processing Preference in Inbox
    Clear the check box.
    Message Processing Preference in Outbox
    Clear the check box.
  6. Click the test button to test the connection.
  7. Click Save.
