Creating the document flow for user BODs (on-premises)

This configuration specifies how ION processes user BODs. This configuration must be performed for each type of product included in the installation.

  1. From the ION Desk navigation pane, select Connect > Document Flows.
  2. From the Document Flows view, Add and specify a name and description for the flow. Click Save.
    Note: Use a name that describes the purpose of the flow, for example <product>_User_BOD, where <product> is the name of the product being configured.
  3. Add the send application and required documents to the flow. This is the application that sends users from the product to Infor OS Portal (or Infor Ming.le).
    1. Select the Application icon and drag it to the space between the Start circle and the End circle in the document flow diagram.
    2. On the Application Activity Properties screen, populate the name field with a name for the sending application, for example, LSF_Send.
    3. Click Add (plus icon) on the Application Activity Properties section.
    4. Select the application point you want to work with, for example, LSF, and click OK.
    5. To attach the required documents, click the paper icon next to the application name in the flow diagram and click Add.
    6. Select the Sync.SecurityRoleMaster and Process.SecurityUserMaster documents, and then click OK.
  4. Add the Infor OS Portal (or Infor Ming.le) application and required documents to the flow:
    1. Select the Application icon again and drag it to the space between your LSF application and the End circle in the document flow diagram.
    2. On the Application Activity Properties screen populate the name field with a name for the receiving application, in this case, Infor OS Portal (or Infor Ming.le).
    3. Click Add (plus icon) on the Application Activity Properties section.
    4. Select the connection point with a description of "Mingle" and click OK.
    5. To attach the required documents, click the paper icon next to the application name in the flow diagram and click Add.
    6. Select the Sync.SecurityUserMaster document and click OK.
  5. Add the LSF connection point again as the receive application for the flow. This is the application that receives users from Infor OS Portal (or Infor Ming.le).
    Note: This application does not need documents.
    1. Select the Application icon and drag it to the space between the Infor OS Portal (or Infor Ming.le) application and the End circle in the document flow diagram.
    2. On the Application Activity Properties screen populate the name field with a name for the sending application, for example, LSF_Receive.
    3. Click Add (plus icon) on the Application Activity Properties section.
    4. Select the LSF application and click OK.
  6. Verify that the flow has three applications and that they appear in the following order (from left to right):
    • Send application from LSF to Infor OS Portal (or Infor Ming.le)
    • Send application for Infor OS Portal (or Infor Ming.le) to LSF
    • Receive application for LSF from Infor OS Portal (or Infor Ming.le)
  7. Click Save.
  8. Activate the flow.
    1. Review the configuration and make sure you have correctly assigned connection points, aligned them in the correct location on the view, and assigned the correct documents.
    2. To activate the flow, in the Document Flow view, click the Activate icon.
      Note: Hover over each icon to display a tool tip to help identify the Activate icon.
  9. Message Listeners must be enabled for the documents when you create an application. To activate the Message Listener for Infor OS Portal (or Infor Ming.le):
    1. From the ION Desk navigation pane, select Connect > Message Listeners.
    2. Select the Infor OS Portal (or Infor Ming.le) listener, MINGLE.
    3. Under Documents, select the Sync and Process check boxes, then click Save.
    4. Click Activate.
