Creating a query using the Infor Lawson Resource Query Builder

  1. Specify this information:
    Resource Type

Provides you with a list of available resource types in the system.

    Agent Product Line

Specify a product line that will be used to get a list of attributes for all available agents in the specified product line.

    Get Attributes button

This button is enabled once a resource type is selected and/or an agent product line is specified.

Select the button to retrieve a list of attributes for the selected resource type and/or agents in the specified product line.

The text for the label above the checked list box (below the Get Attributes button) changes depending on what is specified when the Get Attributes button is selected:

    • If a Resource Type was selected, "Attributes for Resource Type: People" if a resource type of "people" was selected.

    • If an agent product line was specified: "Attributes for Agents in: apps803" if "apps803" was specified in the field.

    • If both resource type and product line was specified: Attributes for Resource Type: People and Agents in: apps803.

The contents of the list will not be updated until the Get Attributes button is selected. Selecting a different Resource Type or specifying a different product line will not change the contents (if any) of the list box until the button is selected.

Select the attribute(s) to be retrieved by clicking on the desired entries.

  2. Click Next to specify the criteria.
  3. Click the Resources tab and specify this information:
    Note:

Only the appropriate buttons and fields will be enabled, depending on the current state of the criteria being built. For example, the AND and OR buttons will only be enabled after a ")" or an expression. This prevents invalid criteria from being built, such as having two ANDs in a row.

    Grouping

Use the first grouping control button to add a left parenthesis to start a group.

Use the second grouping control button to add a right parenthesis to end an open group.

Use the third grouping control button to add the appropriate amount of right parenthesis to end all open groups.

    Conjunction

Use the AND button to add the AND conjunction.

Use the OR button to add the OR conjunction.

    Field

This field consists of all attributes of the selected resource type.

    Operator

    The following expression operators are available: =, !=, >, >=, <, and <=

  4. Click the Services tab and specify this information:
    Note:

Selecting a different agent once an agent criteria has been added clears any agent criteria created.

The expression operator is fixed as "=".

    Agent expressions are added automatically.

    Agents Product Line

Select this button to change or specify the product line used to retrieve the list of available agents. This is initially defaulted to the product line specified in the previous screen (attributes to retrieve).

A dialog box for specifying a product line appears when the button is selected.

    Services

    Select the appropriate agent.

    Field

Select from a list of fields from the chosen agent.

    Value

The comparison value for the expression.
