Configuring the ION Alert node

Select the configuration to use for this activity. It is important to select the configuration with the ION connection to use.

To use an existing configuration, select a name from the list. If you leave the field blank, the default configuration is used.

Click the Add button. Select the task and the user who must receive the notification.

On the Task variable list (CSV) or User variable list (CSV) fields, you can specify tasks or users by variables.

Select the escalation level.

Escalation levels define when the user is notified. If assigned the lowest number 0, then the user is always notified. If assigned 1, then the user is notified if the 0 user does not respond to the alert.

Specify the text to be sent with the alert.

Click the Build button to create the alert details.

Select from the available options.

Select this check box to send a notification when an error occurs. If this option is selected, you must fill out the notification details.

Select this check box to have a custom log entry in addition to the system-generated log entry.
