Infor Process Automation execution issues

This table shows symptoms that may occur with IPA and suggestions about how to handle them.

Symptom Possible cause / Corrective action
A process did not start as expected.

The most likely cause is a problem related to overall operation of the server.

  1. Run the gridmon utility and check the status of the IPA node.

  2. Review messages in YourInstallLocation/system/lps.log

A workunit is in Ready status but it is taking longer to execute than you think it should.

Check the Asynch communication queue.

  1. From the canvas Gen data area main menu, select Async Web App/Async Framework Components/Triggers.

  2. If the workunit appears here as Failed, select it, select Actions, and then select Requeue.

  3. If the workunit does not appear on the Triggers list, check the IPA queue.

    From the canvas Gen data area main menu, select Async Web App / Async Framework Components / Queues. If the IPA queue is listed, select it, select Actions and then select Requeue.

A workunit has a status other than Ready and the reason is not obvious. On the canvas in Data View, go to the data area/asynch, check PFIqueues.
