Adjust maximum heap size

The Max Heap setting within the ION Grid controls the maximum amount of memory assigned to the IPA grid node. When setting the Max Heap, you must be aware of how much total RAM is available on the server and what all programs are capable of consuming. All the max heap sizes for all grid nodes, operating system memory, and memory footprint of other programs running on the server must be less than the total RAM of the server.

  1. Access the ION Grid Management pages.
  2. Click the Configuration Manager button.
  3. Click Applications.
  4. Click the application containing your IPA.
  5. Click Edit Properties.
  6. Navigate to Node Memory > Max Heap property.
  7. Click the record for IPA and adjust the value amount.
  8. Save your changes.
  9. Restart the IPA grid node.
