Calling lookup data in processes using the Infor Process Automation xref feature

Using JavaScript, you can configure a process to read cross-references (xrefs) from a table that is stored on the Infor Process Automation server.

You could use this feature to, for example:

  • Locate various pieces of data, concatenate the strings and then present them as a message to a user.
  • Create a process that makes use of user data stored in two separate systems. User data from each system could be concatenated to create a single entry in the Infor Process Automation xref lookup table.

You can implement this feature in two steps:

  • Using Infor Process Automation, create an xref table that defines the source data.
  • Using Infor Process Designer, create a process that includes a Javascript call to the xref.
