Configuring a custom message string for password retrieval

Use this procedure if you want to create your own message to display when a user requests a password reset.

Before you perform these steps, a password reset policy must have been created.

  1. Log in to the Landmark Technology administrative menus.
  2. Select Security System Management.
  3. At the next page, select the Default Primary Service, typically, SSOPV2.
  4. From the primary service page, select Service Properties.
  5. Create a new service property. Click Actions > Create.
  6. On the Service Properties Details page, specify this name for the property: ResetPasswordMessage.
  7. For Property Value, provide the text that you want users to see when they request a password reset.
  8. After adding the property, open a new browser session and verify that the new message string is displayed.
