Linking a single Actor to an Actor Context template

This procedure provides the steps for assigning a template to an individual Actor. A template must already exist before you perform this procedure.

  1. Navigate to the Administration Console through the method you use, for example, the Web app, HRT or FSM.
  2. From the menu, access Security > Actor Context Template.
  3. Select Actor.
  4. On the Actor Context Detail List, move to the toolbar and select the action Create Actor Context from Template. The Actor Context Template dialog box opens.
  5. Populate the appropriate fields on the Actor Context Template dialog box.
    1. For Actor Context Template: Select a template from the list.
    2. For Actor: Locate and select the Actor for whom you are linking a template. (Do not select the All Actors flag.)
    3. For How to Process If Actor Context Already Exists: If you are adding a new Actor, this option is irrelevant. Make sure the default value of Skip is selected. If you are updating an existing Actor who might already have a value for at least one of the Actor Contexts, select Replace if you want the existing value to be updated or Skip if you want to retain the existing value.
  6. Click Submit.
