Force a user to reset their password

Use this procedure to force users to create a new password the next time they log in. If the user logs in to the lsuserapp application, they will be immediately directed to a page where they can change the password. If the user attempts to log in to the Infor Rich Client, a message appears saying the users needs to reset the password. The user will need to go to the lsuserapp application to do this.

  1. Log in to the Infor Rich Client as a user with the appropriate access to GEN, the security tables, and the User Management application.
  2. In the Infor Rich Client, access the User Management application and then Identity Management.
  3. Select the identity whose password you want to cause the user to reset and then select Actions > Force Password Reset.
