Installation Files

The following files play a role in the installation of a Landmark Environment or Landmark application.

File Description
$LASYSDIR/install.log The log file for the installation of the Landmark Environment.
$LASYSDIR/install.cfg Stores interview answers when you run the Java installer for an Environment install. These answers are then used if you update the Environment. If you change your configuration (for example, change your web server port), be sure to change this file. Otherwise, an update will overwrite your configuration with the values from install.cfg.
GRID_HOME/install/install.log The log file for the installation of the Lawson Grid.
GRID_HOME/install/install.cfg Stores interview answers when you run the Java installer for Lawson Grid install. These answers are then used if you update the grid. If you change your configuration, be sure to change this file. Otherwise, an update will overwrite your configuration with the values from install.cfg.
dataarea/install/install.cfg Stores interview answers when you run the Java installer for an application install. These answers are then used if you update the application.
dataarea.randomNbr/java/ear/laenvname-dataarea-appName-ws60-deploy.properties Contains a record of application WebSphere deployment activities.
$LALOGDIR/was.log Contains a record of Landmark Environment deployment activities to WebSphere.
$LAENVDIR/install Perl scripts The $LAENVDIR/install directory contains numerous Perl scripts that are used by the Java installer.
$LAENVDIR/install template files Template files that are the basis for the properties files created during an Environment installation.
$LAENVDIR/java/template template files Template files that are used for the building of Java-based files.
$LAENVDIR/install XML files Many of the XML files in the $LAENVDIR/install directory contain the interview question and online help for the Java installer for the Landmark Environment.
$LAENVDIR/install and $LASRCDIR/dataarea/install secadm scripts The secadm scripts (secadm_scriptNbr.txt contain user, identity, and security information that you load after installing the Environment or an application.
$LAENVDIR/java/rar/build.xml
