Setting Up Grid E-Mail Notification

Use this procedure to enable users to receive notifications via e-mail for issues with grid, including

• A node (JVM) not responding in a timely manner to being polled

• A node running out of memory

• A node using a high percentage of its maximum heap size

• A node terminating due to something other than managegrid/adminlaw/stoplaw

• A router terminating

• No nodes running for a needed binding

You can set up e-mail notification in two ways: via the Grid Management tool or via the managegrid setnotify command. Before you can set up e-mail notification, you must have an SMTP server and e-mail addresses set up.
