Enabling/Disabling Data Translation

Use this procedure to control whether data translation (multi-language field configuration) is enabled or disabled for a data area. If you do not use data translation, disabling it will reduce the load on your system.

By default, data translation is implemented and enabled when you install the application product line or data area. If you disable data translation, the implementation remains in place. That is, the database structure still exists. It is then a simple to enable it at a later time if your organization wants to use data translation.

For more information on data translation (multi-language field configuration), see the documentation for your Landmark application.
