Purging actor personalizations and related data

Use this procedure to remove the personalizations and associated data for an actor. For example, an employee who has left your organization. The removed data includes list, card view, menu, page, image map, report map, folder, and report personalizations for the actor. You must run this procedure in each data area where the actor has personalizations to remove all the actor personalizations from your system.

  1. Select Administration Console > Configuration and Personalization > Personalization > Purge Personalizations And Related Data For Actor or Configuration Console > Utilities > Personalization > Purge Personalizations And Related Data For Actor.
  2. Specify this information:
    Actor
    Select an existing user. If the actor is no longer in the system, type the name of an actor.
    Physically Delete
    If this check box is cleared, audited data is marked as deleted but remains in the database. Select this check box to remove audited data from the database. The records cannot be recovered unless they have been backed up and restored by some other means. If you require audit history for the records, do not use this option.
    Delete User Report Output
    Select this check box to delete links to output documents such as PDF and CSV files.
  3. Click Schedule to schedule the action for another time or click Submit to immediately purge the personalizations.
