Viewing exception log entries

Because detailed stack trace information is not displayed to a user when an exception occurs, you can use this procedure to see detailed information about exceptions. To access this information, you must have a security role that includes a security class that grants access to the Administrator Console and to the LandmarkExceptionLogEntry business class. Two delivered classes that include access to the LandmarkExceptionLogEntry business class are DataAreaAdminAccess_ST and AdministratorConsoleAccess_ST. You must also have the ID that was displayed when the exception occurred.

  1. Select Start > Applications > Administration Console > Other > Exception Log Inquiry.
  2. Click Inquire on the Recently Queried page.
  3. In the Exception ID field, specify the ID of the exception and click OK.

If the exception with that ID is found, it will be added to the list on the Recently Queried page.

  4. On the Recently Queried page, select the exception you want to view details for and click Open.
