Creating an amendment for a released event

Use this procedure to make changes to a released event. After you have made the necessary changes, suppliers are notified by a system-generated amendment.

For some informal events, changes may not trigger an amendment even if changes to a specific field would otherwise do so.

To create an amendment for a released event

  1. Access Buyer > Event Creation.
  2. Click the Open or Pending Award tab and select an event for which you want to create an amendment.
  3. Click the Event tab. Use the following guidelines to enter field values:
    Create Amendments

Required. Select this checkbox to create an amendment for the event.

  4. Make the necessary changes for the amendment.
    Note:

If the changes affect the list of suppliers for the event, you may also need to make changes to the Notifications tab.

  5. Click Save.
  6. From the Actions menu, select Release. Use the following guidelines to enter field values:
    Comment

Type a summary for the amendment.

    Note:

The summary is included in the e-mail sent to your suppliers in regard to the amendment.

If changes are made to a field that triggers an amendment, an e-mail is sent to suppliers who are eligible to receive notices for the event. For example, if you change the event description, an amendment and a new version number are created. On the event listing, the number of amendments displays in the Version column.

If changes are made to a field that does not trigger an amendment, the Supplier Portal is updated and suppliers do not receive notification about the change.
