Setting up contact types

Setting up a contact type lets you organize and distinguish similar contacts for reporting and analysis purposes.

To set up contact types

  1. Access Setup > Contact Types.
  2. From the Actions menu, select Create.

    Use the following guidelines to enter field values.

    Procurement Group

    Required. Select a procurement group to assign to the contact type.

    Contact Type

    Required. Type a name for the contact type.

    The contact type is used to organize similar contacts for reporting and analysis purposes.

    Description

    Required. Type a description for the contact type.

    Active

    Select this checkbox to make the contact type active.

  3. Click Save.
