Copying an existing event

Use the following procedure to create a new event by copying another event.

To create an event by copying an existing event

  1. Access Sourcing Buyer > Event Creation.
  2. From the Actions menu, select Create Event from Event.
  3. Use the following guidelines to enter field values:
    Company

    Required. Select a company to assign the event to.

    Event#

    Required. Select an existing event that you want to copy and use for the new event.

    Several fields will default the information from the originating event. Dates do not copy.

  4. In the Copy Options section, choose whether or not to copy detail records from the originating event.
  5. Click OK.

    The new event is added to Draft Events.

  6. Optional. If necessary, update your event information.
