Creating event types

Event types are used to group or classify sourcing events. An example of an event type can be a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a Request for Information (RFI).

Note: 

There is no processing associated with event types; assigning an event type is for internal reference only.

To create an event type

  1. Access Setup > Event Types.
  2. From the Actions menu, select Create.
  3. Use the following guidelines to enter field values:
    Sourcing Group

    Required. Select a sourcing group to assign to the event type.

    Event Type

    Required. Type a name for the event type.

    Description

    Required. Type a description for the event type.

    Active

    Select this checkbox to make the event type active.

  4. Click Save.
