Creating notice types

Create notice types to categorize notices. For example, FDA Recall, Safety Notice, Device Correction, or Advisory. You will define visual alerts on the notices lists based on the number of days since a notice was received.

To create a notice type

  1. Access Recall Administrator > Setup > Notice Types.
  2. From the Actions menu, select Create. Use the following guidelines to enter field values.
    Recall Group

    Required.

    Type

    Required. Type an category or name for the notice type. The name can be up to 50 characters.

    Description

    Required. Add additional information or your internal description of the notice type.

    Active

    Select this field if the notice type is active. This field is selected by default. You can inactivate a notice type by clearing this field.

    FDA Classification

    If the notice type is FDA-related, you can select the FDA classification for the category.

    Yellow Alert

    Type the number of days after the notice is received that the open notice should appear with a yellow visual alert on status and analysis forms.

    Red Alert

    Type the number of days after the notice is received that the open notice should appear with a red visual alert on status and analysis forms.
