Administrator setup procedures

The list below contains procedures that are required to set up Recall Management.

Note:

Some configuration procedures are included in the product installation, see the Infor Lawson Supply Chain Management Applications, built with Landmark Installation Guide.

Procedure Reference
Set up an enterprise group

An enterprise group is the highest level entity in a Lawson Landmark application. It is the common group across all Landmark applications that ties the different groups together. For Recall Management, recall group extends procurement group, which extends enterprise group.

You will probably have one enterprise group.

Note:

Enterprise Group must have the same value as Procurement Group.

You will not use enterprise companies for Recall Management.

Set up recall groups

Create a recall group or groups that corresponds to existing procurement groups. Recall groups determine processing and settings for Recall Management.

Creating a recall group

Set up recall users

Create a repository of recall management users. Users are coordinators, managers, responders.

Creating users

Set up recall domains

Define areas of expertise across organizations. Domains are assigned to locations or departments within the organization structure and help drive notifications.

Creating domains

Set up recall organizations

Define a hierarchy of your Recall Organization and assign individuals responsible for recalls to each location or department.

Creating organizations

Define task instructions

Create a repository of task instructions that will be attached to recall notices for responders. The task instructions can optionally include questions that the responder must answer.

Creating task instructions

Define notice types

Create a repository of recall notice types to categorize notices. For example, FDA Recall, Safety Notice, or Device Correction.

Creating notice types

Define action reasons

Create action reasons to explain why a specific business action is performed, such as reopening a closed recall notice. Action reasons are captured and displayed in the audit log.

Lawson provides business subjects for Recall Management. You need to define reason codes for the business subjects.

States and provinces

Setup states and provinces for addresses, locations, and so on. This is a one-time setup for manufacturer address on a notice. You may wish to use Lawson Spreadsheet Designer to import the states and provinces your organization will use.

Note:

If you already have an Infor Lawson Supply Chain Management Landmark application, states and provinces may already be defined.
