Creating domains

Domains are an area, specialty, or department; for example, Pharmacy, Nutrition, Surgery, or Emergency Services. Domains are a way to group users across organizations, locations, or departments and populate notifications lists on notices.

It is possible to have recall notices without domains, but domains are one way to drive the list of watchers that notifications will go to.

To create a domain

  1. Access Recall Administrator > Setup > Domains.
  2. From the Actions menu, select Create. Use the following guidelines for entering field values.
    Recall Group

    Required.

    Domain

    Type a name for the domain. The name can be alpha numeric and up to 50 characters.

    Description

    Required.

    Active

    Select this field if the domain is active. This field is selected by default.

  3. From the Actions menu, select Save.
