Importing data overview

You may want to import data into the applications such as commodity codes, terms and conditions, contract lines. If you don't have Accounts Payable (AP) you may want to import retainage payment information.

To import data into the applications, you can use the data import utility or Lawson Spreadsheet Designer:

• Data can be imported and exported using Lawson Spreadsheet Designer. Lawson Spreadsheet Designer lets you access Landmark data through Microsoft Office Excel. Creating a map of Landmark application data for uploading via Microsoft Excel

• Data import allows you to add, update, or change data. You can bring data into any business class in Landmark. Using an XML format that is processed by the application. There is a delivered gen security class that needs to be assigned to the user you want to do the import. The utility is executed at the Landmark Environment command line.
