To create actor context records

Note:

This procedure describes how to use the Lawson Rich Client to create actor context records. If you have access to the command line, you may want to use the secadm command. For example: secadm actor context add actor dataarea keyfield value

  1. Access the Data Menu widget and navigate to dataarea > person > Business Classes > ActorContext.
  2. On the Context List, select Actions > Create.
  3. On the Actor Context form, use the following guidelines to enter field values
    Unique ID

Leave this value blank. The application will assign a unique ID to the record when you save it. This ID identifies the actor context record.

    Actor

Type or select the user ID (actor) that you are defining actor context records for.

    Unique ID

Use the select list to select the keyfield you want to use for this actor context record. Select the keyfield and the system will use the unique ID it created for the keyfield context property.

If the list is blank, define the keyfield context property records. SeeTo create keyfield context property records.

    Value

Type the value that corresponds to the keyfield you are using. Multiple values can be entered by entering a comma between the values.

For example, if the user is assigned to Procurement Group 9000, type 9000 here.

  4. Select Actions > Save.
