About actor context records in Contract Management
It is required that you create actor context records for each actor (user) to perform certain actions. Actor context records let the actors access and view records for user-defined values, such as a particular procurement group.
Create ActorContext records for actors (and each new actor) using any of the following roles:
-
ContractAdministrator_ST
-
ContractProcessor_ST if limited by Contract Classification and optionally sub classification
-
SpendAnalysisViewer_ST
-
Any role with security class SCMCommonViewSpend_ST added to it
-
Any role with security class CMCreateItem_ST added to it
In addition to initial setup, you will create ActorContext records for each new user you add to one of these roles.
The actor context requires a keyfield context property and a keyfield value. Our suggestions for possible keyfield assignments are shown below.
For actors in the ContractAdmini strator_ST role | For actors in the ContractProces sor_ST role if limited by Contract Classification | For actors in the SpendAnalysisV iewer_ST role | For actors using the SCMCommonV iewSpend_ST security class | For actors using the CMCreateIt em_ST security class
Procurement Group keyfield | X | X | X | X
Contract Classification and optionally Contract Subclassification keyfield | X |
The actor context keyfield assignments provides the following access:
-
Procurement Group: The user is allowed to view Spend Analysis forms. The user can view information on total spend, buyer page, and last run date for all spend analysis forms only if a Procurement Group value is defined. The user is allowed to view the contract items list in contract forecasting. The user can perform processes to add items to the Item Master.
-
Contract Classification and Subclassification: The user is allowed to create and update contracts with the defined classification(s) and subclassification(s).
