Making cost changes using contract import
Use this procedure to make cost changes to contracts from contract import records.
Load or update contract import lines with supplier pricing information. Importing supplier catalogs using contract import
To make cost changes using contract import
- Access Utilities > Contract Import.
- Optional. On Update Contract Import, select Contracts Created From Import to review the contracts created from the import records.
- From the Actions menu, select Process Contract Line Updates.

Select the contract to update. The contract must be in a draft, amendment, or addendum state.

Optional. Enter tolerance information.

Select OK.
The system updates the lines with Update Function field set to Update are updated in the selected contract if there are no tolerance errors (or you didn't enter any tolerance information) and the effective cost is the same as the current effective date.

Conditional. If tolerances were exceeded, a Tolerance
Errors button displays on the contract.

On the contract form, select Tolerance Errors.

Accept or reject the tolerance error.
If you reject the tolerance error, the system removes the error and does not update the contract.
If you accept the tolerance error, the system compares the effective date of the new base cost to the effective date of the new base cost.
If the effective date of the new base cost is the same as the current effective date, the system updates the base cost on the contract line.

Conditional. If the effective date of the new base
cost is later than the current effective date, the system creates
a future audit record and a set action.
The set action runs automatically at midnight on the effective date of the new base cost.

Conditional. If the contract was in an active
state, you will have to run the Process Pricing Updates program to
update concurrent prices on vendor agreements in the Purchase Order
application.

Access Utilities > Process Pricing Updates.
Process Pricing Updates runs against a Contract Group. Lawson recommends you run this program regularly to pick up any pricing updates in active contracts.
