Process Automation setup

To participate in the Contract Redline Document Approval process, users need to be set up in the Process Automation system. Users (Actors) who perform initial approvals in this process also need to be associated with PFI task records, which define the types of approval processes they can perform. These records can be created by individuals who are Process Server Administrators.

  1. Verify that Process Automation is set up to send emails. In the Process Server Administrator menu, go to System Configuration and open the system record. Make sure the "mailfrom" and "mailserver" properties have the correct Values.
  2. In the Process Server Administrator menu, select User Configuration > Users and create Users for all Actors who have Redline Contracts assigned or reassigned to them.
    Note: 

    Verify that any Actors who are set up as Users here have a valid Email address defined in the Contact Information section of the Actor record.

  3. Users who are initially viewing Redline Contract Documents should also have User Task records created. After creating the User, go to the User Tasks panel and create a record for ContractApprover1.
