Adding and releasing tier members

Tier members allow you to assign a specific company and location (or requesting location) to a contract tier. The tier member is then eligible to receive the negotiated prices on the manufacturer contract. Releasing a tier member on a contract generates a line-level tier pricing record which can then be modified.

To add and release a tier member

  1. Access Contract Management > In Progress tab.
  2. Select a manufacturer contract to which you want to add a tier member.
  3. Add a Member.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Click on the Tier link in the Contract Members list.
  6. Enter a Tier value and click Save.
  7. From the Actions menu, select Release Members.
    Note: 

    You cannot release tier members if no lines exist for the contract or if there is no purchase method attached to a tier member.

    Note: 

    If Contract Tiers are defined as Fixed and Contract Line Tier Cost records exist when Release Members is selected, the line member Net Cost is the Line Tier Cost for the tier associated with the member.
