Activating contracts

After a contract (or a vendor agreement) has gone through final approval, it is moved to the Ready To Activate status. In this state, the contract can be activated, making the associated articles and terms available for use. Once activated, changes or updates to the contract or contract lines cannot be made without going through the contract amendment or addendum process.

If the contract is inactivated, the contract articles and terms are not made available for use and are considered expired.

Note: 

Use My Scheduled Actions to review the status of the Contract when the Activation Action is performed. To help with troubleshooting, you may wish to Save History for My Scheduled actions. If you do choose to save history, Lawson recommends you set an action to purge your history on a regular basis (for example, every two days).

To activate a contract

  1. Access Contract Management > In Progress tab.
  2. Select a contract with a Ready To Activate status that you want to activate.
  3. From the Actions menu, select Activate.

    You can view activated contracts on the Active tab.
