About rebate types
A rebate type is used to organize the rebates that your company uses on a contract. A rebate type is user-defined and can be added or rolled into a parent contract.
Some types you may create:
-
a rebate type to distinguish all supply-related rebates from all administration-related rebates.
-
a rebate type that reflects all purchases of certain commodity codes
-
a rebate type that accrues to the buyer for scrapping out old inventory or equipment as part of a new contract
Before you can apply a rebate, you must first create a rebate type. After you have created a rebate type, you can add a rebate to a contract based on the rebate type for which the contract is eligible.
