Creating articles

Follow these steps to create an article that is directly attached to a contract.

Before you can create an article, a procurement group must already exist in the Purchase Order application. For information on creating a procurement group, see the Purchase Order User Guide.

To create an article

  1. Search for "Articles and Terms".
  2. From the Actions menu, select Create.
  3. Use the following guidelines to enter field values:
    Procurement Group

    Required. Select a procurement group to which you want to assign the article.

    Title

    Required. Type a title for the article that you are creating.

    The title does not print on the contract.

    Header Text

    Type the header text that represents the article label.

    The header text prints on the contract.

    Allow Modification When Attached to Contracts or Events

    Select this checkbox to allow changes to the header text after the article is attached to a contract.

    Active

    Select this checkbox to make the article active.

    Note: 

    You cannot make an article inactive if it is attached to an active question (or an answer to an active question). Also, you cannot add an inactive article to a contract.

  4. Click Save.
