To assign a tier to a contract

  1. Access Contract Management > In Progress tab.
  2. Select a manufacturer contract to which you want to assign a tier.
  3. Click the Tiered Pricing button.
  4. From the Actions menu, select Create.
  5. On the Create Contract Tier form, use the following guidelines to enter field values:
    Tier

    Required. Type an identifying value (up to four alphanumeric characters) for the tier that you are assigning.

    Tier Title

    Required. Type a name or short description of the tier that you are assigning.

    Description

    Type a description for the tier that you are assigning.

    For example, you may define the tier as a discount type based on a percent of total sales: "Ten-percent (10%) discount on purchase of $2000 or more."

  6. On the Tier tab, use the following guidelines to enter field values:
    Tier Price

    Select a pricing type (markup, discount, or fixed) and type the cost or percent of the tier price.

    Note: 

    A tier price or a tier freight factor is required to assign a tier to a contract.

    Tier Freight Factor

    Select a freight factor type (markup or discount) and type the cost or percent of the tier freight factor.

    Note: 

    A tier price is required to assign a tier to a contract.

  7. Click Save.

    The Tier Qualifiers tab is activated.
