Setting up a role with proxy functionality

  1. Select Start > Data > Security > Business Classes > Role.

    - or -

    Specify Role in the Search box and click Role in the search results.

  2. Open the role which you want to enable as a proxy role.
  3. Select the Proxyable check box.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Conditional. For the role to be a grantor, assign the ProxyGrantorAccess_ST security class to the role.
    1. On the Role form, click the Security Classes Assigned To Role tab and select Actions > Create.

      Use the following guidelines to specify field values:

      Role

      This field is prepopulated with the chosen role.

      Data Area

      Select GEN.

      Security Class

      Select ProxyGrantorAccess_ST.

      Description

      Specify the description of the role security class.

    2. Click Save.
  6. Conditional. For the role to be a proxy, assign the ProxyInquireAccess_ST security class to the role.
    1. On the Role form, click the Security Classes Assigned To Role tab and select Actions > Create.

      Specify this information:

      Role

      This field is prepopulated with the chosen role.

      Data Area

      Select GEN.

      Security Class

      Select ProxyInquireAccess_ST.

      Description

      Specify the description of the role security class.

    2. Click Save.
