Setting up Async queues

Async queues are recommended as a best practice to split up the actions for concurrent processing or to control the processing in a single threaded format based on the Max Active Actions field. Async queues ensure that certain actions in a queue are completed before others to maintain data integrity.

  1. Select Async Administrator > Async Overview.
  2. From the Actions menu on the Queue View tab, select Create.

    Use the following guidelines to specify field values:

    Note: 

    Fields marked with asterisk (*) are required.

    Name
    • APIA Update Invoice Statuses Queue - used when updating invoice statuses from Infor Lawson.

    • APIA Update Invoice Distribution Date Queue – used when updating invoice distribution dates from Infor Lawson.

    • APIA Update Analytic Cube Queue – used when updating the APIA Analytic Cube.

    • APIA Document Management Queue – used when retrieving data from a document management system.

    Description

    Specify a description of the Async queue.

    Max Active Actions
    • APIA Update Invoice Statuses Queue – 1

    • APIA Update Invoice Distribution Date Queue – 1

    • APIA Update Analytic Cube Queue – 1

    • APIA Document Management Queue – 3

    Suspended

    Select this check box to suspend the Async queue.

    Save History

    Select this check box to save the history of the Async queue.

    Note: 

    Saving the history will consume space on your server.

  3. Click Save.
