Creating a new proxy role for proxy functionality

  1. Select Start > Data > Security > Business Classes > Role.

    - or -

    Specify Role in the Search box and click Role in the search results.

  2. Create a new proxy access role or roles, such as Proxy Access Role.
    Note: 

    If you need to separate grantors and proxies, you must create two proxy access roles.

    1. Select Start > Data > Security > Business Classes > Role.

      - or -

      Specify Role in the Search box and click Role in the search results.

    2. On the Role List form, select Actions > Create Role.

      Specify this information:

      Role Name

      Specify the name of the new role you want to enable as a proxy role.

      Description

      Specify a description for the new role.

      Note: 

      The new proxy-only role would not be designated as proxyable.

    3. Click Save.
  3. To assign the ProxyGrantorAccess_ST or the ProxyInquireAccess_ST security class to the new proxy access role, see Setting up a role with proxy functionality.
  4. Assign the proxy roles as an additional role to the proxy users.
    1. Select Start > Data > Security > Business Classes > Role.

      Specify Role in the Search box and click Role in the search results.

    2. Open the role which you are assigning the proxy access role to.
    3. On the Role Assigned To Actors tab, select Actions > Assign Existing Role To Actor.
    4. Select an actor from the actor list and click Select.
    5. Click Save.
