Setting up Tax Engine calculations

  1. Expand Tax Engine applications > Processing.
  2. Select Taxes Reference.
  3. Click the New icon.
  4. In the Reference section, specify this information:
    Tax Request ID

    Search and select the first free numbers. Click OK.

    Reference Header

    Specify a reference header.

    Ship from BP

    Search and select a business partner that ships the goods. Click OK.

    Ship from Address

    Search and select the address from which the goods are shipped.

    Ship to BP

    Search and select the business partner that receives the goods. Click OK.

    Ship to Address

    Search and select the address to which the goods are shipped.

  5. In the General Information section, specify this information:
    Currency

    Search and select the currency to be used. Click OK.

    Payment Term

    Search and select the payment term. Click OK.

    Department

    Search and select a department. Click OK.

  6. In the Document section, specify this information:
    Tax Origin

    In the Tax Origin field, specify the order type conversion.

    Transaction Origin

    Select Input or Output.

    Fiscal Doc Type

    Search and select a fiscal document type. Click OK.

  7. In the Dates section, select a date and time.
  8. In the Tax Reference Lines, click the New icon.
  9. Specify information in the Tax Request ID Line, Reference Line, and Item Code columns. You can add multiple Item data to test taxes for each type of goods or services.
  10. To add Item Price and Discounts, click the arrow icon.
  11. When you are done providing necessary data, select a single Tax Reference Line record and click Calculate Taxes in the Command toolbar.

    The Taxes Reference Lines indicates the associated taxes of the created transaction. If the tax outcome is not correct, you can make the necessary changes in the fiscal and tax registration setup and repeat the test.
