Search Priorities

Priorities are used to define levels of priority on your data search and how the system performs the search for tax information and accounting data. It is recommended that you define the priorities that the system will utilize for searches. For each type of information, there is a pair of related tables: the first priority search and the second type of information by tax characteristics.

When a field is off (or with zero value), it means that all records on search definition that has any value on this field Department will not be considered on search. The system will perform one search for each priority until any record can be found.

If no record is present, the default priority is defined internally by using all fields in the form sequence. Priorities are defined by assigning a numeric sequence (1, 2, 3, etc.) for each characteristics. This list provides examples of characteristics for CFOP searches:

  • Priority

  • Description

  • Department

  • Fiscal Doc Type

  • Fiscal Document Type REC

For example:

Assigned sequences will be the form that the system will utilize to sort and return a record. Fields that are set to zero (0) will not be filled at the time of system search.

You can create priorities with different sequences for each Data Searches. The system will search through all priorities until it finds the most valuable information in the tax engine. If priorities are not met, the system assumes that the search will be performed without priorities considering the order in which the fields were created physically in the tables.
