Item Fiscal data overview

In other countries like Brazil, the government established an eight-digit code based on NCM to identify the nature of the goods. The NCM codes are used to standardize and identify goods and assets that may be subject to tax substitution schemes and interstate tax.These classification codes are compatible with the Harmonized System (HS), which is the standard international classification system.

The item’s NCM codes are included on Item Master data and are generated through the ItemMasterData BOD. Tax Engine is the SOR for item fiscal data, hence, it is important to maintain the item fiscal in the engine. NCM codes are required to be printed on Brazil’s Nota Fiscal.
