Assigning content items to another user

Use this procedure to assign content or an item to another administrator.

  1. Click Admin > Content Administration Tool. The Content Administration screen is displayed.
  2. To search for the content to reassign, specify your search criteria. You can use one or more of these fields, depending on what you are searching for.
    Show Items Owned By
    Click the Click here to select user name link. The Users and Group screen is displayed. Use this screen to browse for the content's current owner. After you select the owner, click OK.
    Show Including
    To limit your search results, specify a word or name to filter the list of content. The list of items will include items whose names contain one or more of the words specified.

    The search is not case sensitive and will return items with partial matches. For example, searching for Sale will return items including Sales and sale.

    Select the check boxes corresponding to the content type.
    • Condition, Report, Fact: Lists all conditions, reports, facts, and notifications.
    • Files: Lists files that have been uploaded to the system.
    • Templates: Lists templates that have been created by users.
    • Devices: Lists devices owned by users.
    Assign Items To
    Click the Click here to select user name link. The Users and Group screen is displayed. Use this screen to browse for the content's current owner. After selecting the owner, click OK.
  3. Click Go. A list of items that matches your search criteria is displayed.
  4. Select the Action check box corresponding to the content items. To select all items, click Select All.
  5. Click Assign To. The selected content items are reassigned to the user you specified in the Assign Items.
  6. To assign other listed content items to another user, go to Assign Items To, click the Click Here to Select User link, and select another user.
