Setting up synchronization for users and groups

Smart Notification synchronizes users and groups with Framework Services.

Use the steps in this procedure to set Smart Notification to use Framework Services as a basis for synchronization.

  1. In WebSphere, click Resources > JDBC > Data sources.
  2. Verify that the scope of Framework Services data source is the same as the Smart Notification scope.
If the Framework Services data source does not exist on the same server as Smart Notification or the scope is not the same, you will need to create a Framework Services data source with the same scope as Smart Notification. For more information, see the Info BI for Lawson Installation Guide.
Note: Do not remove or edit the current Framework Services data source.
  3. In Smart Notification, click Admin > Settings > System Configuration Assistant.
  4. In the Sysconfig Assistant, specify the Framework Services JNDI name in the EFS JNDI Name field. For example, jdbc/LawsonFS.
  5. Click Save Changes.
  6. Restart WebSphere for the changes to take effect.
