Creating elements

  1. Select Maintain Elements.
  2. Click New. The New Element screen and update field information, if necessary, is displayed. See Creating and maintaining elements.
    Note: For a Lawson report, the level break names are case sensitive. For example, Accounting Unit must be either ACCOUNTING UNIT or ACCT UNIT. Optionally, access the print file that you will select for bursting to determine the element names and proper case.
  3. Click Add. The Element screen is displayed. You can define new element references for other entities in reports or tables that refer to the same new element just created.
