Maintaining system permissions

Use to set system permissions by user, group, or capability.

  1. Open the Tools dashboard and select Report Administration. The Reporting Services Administration screen is displayed.
  2. Select Server Administration > Maintain System Permissions. The System Permissions screen is displayed.
  3. To assign system permissions by user, role or group:
    1. Select to filter by user, role or group. The list of permission capabilities is displayed.
    2. Specify a user, role or group.
    3. Select the permission capabilities you want to assign to this user, role or group.
  4. To assign system permissions capability:
    1. Select to filter by capability.
    2. Select the capability. A list of users, roles and groups, if any, with the selected permission is displayed. The administrator role is always displayed.
    3. To add a user, role or group to this permission, click the appropriate button and select one or more user, role or groups.
    4. To revoke this permission, select the user, role or group and click Revoke.

    There is no Save button on this screen. Your modifications as you specify them.
