Run the installation program

  1. Start WebSphere.
    Note: WebSphere must be running before the installation begins.
  2. Close all open Windows applications.
  3. Right-click BUSINT-INSTALL-10-6-x-y-z-Faa-Rbb-Scc.exe and select Run as administrator.
    Note: The name of the file you launch may differ from BUSINT-INSTALL-10-6-x-y-z-Faa-Rbb-Scc.exe if you are not using the full Infor BI for Lawson installer file.
  4. Verify that the release level on the screen is 10.6.0.x. Click Next.
  5. Select the Install New Products option on the Select Install Option screen. Click Next.
  6. On the Select Install Directory screen, provide the installation location for the Infor BI for Lawson suite.
    Note: To change the default location, click Choose to browse. You can also enter a new directory location. This directory is created during the installation if it does not already exist.

    Click Next.

  7. Select the desired products on the Products screen.
    Note: The products listed on this screen may not include the full list if you are not installing the full Infor BI for Lawson suite.

    Click Next.

  8. Select your web application server:

    • IBM WebSphere

  9. On the Select Database for the Application screen, select your database system:

    • Microsoft SQL

    • Oracle

    Note: Select a check box only if you are performing one of these types of installations:

    • Horizontal scaling of an installation.

    • Upgrading to new hardware using a previously-existing database.

    Click Next.

  10. On the Choose Application Directories screen, enter the installation location for the components of the Infor BI for Lawson suite or accept the default locations.

    Use alphanumeric characters for the directory name. Invalid characters for the directory name include slashes, spaces, and special characters.

    Click Next.
