Create a notification

  1. Launch Smart Notification and log in as an administrator.
  2. Click Notifications.
  3. Click Add.
  4. Click Go.
  5. Click the Range link for the Install Test InfoSet.
  6. When data displays, click Add.
  7. Click [All] for Items to display and click Select.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Click Step 3 (Delivery).
  10. Select Email.
  11. Click Step 5 (Save).
  12. Specify this information for the notification:
    Name

    Install Notification Test

    Description

    Created by Lawson Installer

    Home Page Group

    In the field next to the drop-down box, enter Install Test

    Instructions

    Indicate notification is only a test

  13. Click Save New Item.
  14. Click Personal Settings.
  15. Click Delivery Devices.
  16. Under Your Devices, click the Edit link for the email device.
    Note: If an email device does not exist, click Add Device to add one.
  17. Edit the email information:
    Name

    Email

    Type

    The email type for the system.

    Template

    Lawson default

    Address

    The email address you are using for the installation test.

  18. Click Update.
    Note: If you created this email device, click Add.
