Creating a Data Source

Create a data source using DME to test the Smart Notification installation.

  1. Launch Smart Notification and log in as an administrator.
  2. Click Admin.
  3. Under Data Sources, click Work With Data Sources.
  4. Click Add.
  5. Enter information for the data source:
    Name

    A name for the data source.

    Description

    Description of the data source.

    The DME URL

    The DME path. For example: http://myserver/cgi-lawson/dme.exe

    DME PROD

    The Lawson product line specified in the DME call. For example: apps10.

    User Name

    This user must have permission to run DME queries on the server and product line that you want to use as a data source.

    Password

    Password for the user ID.

  6. Click Test Settings.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Click Save.
